PERCY  - CDMES Locomotive at Papplewick Pumping Station

'Percy' is a 7¼" gauge coal fired locomotive.
It runs around the grounds at
Papplewick Pumping Station and is normally steamed on the same dates that the main pumping station is in steam.
Members of Chesterfield Model Engineering Society own and built the loco about 30 years ago
to a 'Rhomulus' design and is a 0-4-0 Well Tank fitted with Hackworth valve gear.
The length of the track is about 828 ft, 250 Mtr. of 7 1/4” gauge, plus sidings.
Most of the track is now dual gauge to include 5”.
