Track Improvements 4

New "Loading siding" at Papplewick Pumping Station 2007

David Ambler trying out the new loading ramp siding at Papplewick (05/09/2007)
Built by the "A" team in one afternoon.

David at the end of the siding, the track about level with the top of the mechanical lift.
The lift is in the process of being repainted, then totally covered with 'pit' conveyor belting to allow the lift to be used for track loco's or road loco's.

At the moment the track is built in 7 1/4" gauge, later the 5" rail will be added.
The track mounting blocks will be re-laid sideways to improve stability.
The lift is 4' long
